| KidsKamp Complete |
 |
|
Our very first KidsKamp was a great experience. It has
always been our dream to take the information that we teach
in the Awakening Awareness series and find a way to
incorporate it into a kids class.
Pete and Jan Kirk lead the kids through 5 weeks of fun and
learning events meant to build self-esteem, connect through
meditation, and develop their intuitive skills. One of the
exercises the Kids did was to draw an outline of their body
on newsprint and then draw in their chakras and pictures
inside their aura that meant something to them. Then Pete
and Jan hung their pictures in the classroom and each one of
the students was blindfolded, then brought into the room
where they had to 'find' their own picture. In the picture you
see students blindfolded finding the image of their aura and
chakras. It was tons of fun for everyone.
Watch for details for the Winter KidsKamp starting in late
January.

| Millionaire Mind Intensive |
 |
In June I had the opportunity to attend the Millionaire Mind
Intensive with a group of great people and had a life
changing experience.
Last year I picked up a book called the The Secret of the
Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker and fell in love with the
approach and principles to enlightenedwealth that
Eker wrote about. When the opportunity to attend this
seminar presented itself I got soooo much more out of it than
I expected to. I didn't expect the level of personal growth
that came from this experience.
Now the Millionaire Mind Intensive is coming to Denver Dec.
1-3. If you are interested in attending please visit the link
below to find out more about the intensive. I am going again
and taking both my daughters because it was that powerful
for me. There is also a group from Rapid City attending and
if you would like to go with us, we are planning on getting a
block of rooms and car pooling to keep the trip very
reasonable. Please contact me as soon as possible if you are
interested in attending and traveling with us
If you don't live the in the Rapid City area there are MMI's all
over the country and Canada that you can attend. You can
use the code below regardless of which MMI you
attend.
The seminar usually costs $1295, however, if you have this
reference number 401366 you can attend for free
and take a friend or spouse with you. You can register at the
link below. When you get to the site click on the Free
Bonus.... Then use the reference number above in the
appropriate box. Then you are set and ready to go!!

'Tis the Season... |
|
|
|
Hang on tight!! Here we go!! It's time to wind down the year
and sail through the holidays. Doesn't that sound crazy? The
mere use of the word holiday should mean a time of
relaxation, time off, nurturing yourself. However, in this
case, it seems
to mean just the opposite.
Usually this time of year conjures thoughts of stress, rushing
around, heavy duty shopping, overspending, eating too much
and coping with family dramas. Maybe that is just the
outcome of always doing things the same way, modeling
behavior you might have grown up with and more than likely
conditioning from a consumer crazed public.
What if you actually decided that this really should be a time
for the 'holidays'? What if you actually decided to slow down
and enjoy the process of shorter days and colder nights?
What if you tried something different this year that supported
an new concept, a quieter, simpler way of life?
Experiencing holiday 'bliss' is truly up to you. If you want
things to be different you need to simply do
something different than you have done in the past. It boils
down to choice.
In my own family my mother would complain about all the
work it took to do the holidays. No amount of
offering to help or try some new family tradition was ever
accepted. I'm sure on my mom's end it was her way of
taking care of her family and giving all of us a great holiday
memory. However, often times it really created feelings of
have-tos, hard feelings, and everyone secretly glad to have
them over with. What could've it been like if my mom would
have accepted help, didn't do as much, and didn't over shop?
I suspect that most of us want to live up to the Hallmark
version of the Holidays! Remember I mentioned that it all
boils down to choices. My suggestion is to get together with
your immediate family and talk about what your priorities
are. Ask yourself these questions:
1. What is the family budget for the season?
2. Where do we really want to spend them at?
3. How much time do we want to spend in the kitchen?
4. How can we simplify how we have always done our
family traditions?
5. How can everyone participate and share the burden of
tasks that need to be done?
If you are exhausted after the holidays then something just
isn't right about the way you have chosen to participate in
them. If that's the case then quit complaining and do
something about it! In the words of one of my favorite
mentors'--how you do anything is how you do everything.
Think about that for a minute. If you overwork yourself,
overspend, and don't ask for help, I'd bet my bottom dollar
that you do it in other areas of your life as well.
Several years ago we decided to get out of the rat race over
the holidays and do exactly what we wanted to do, not what
we felt like we had to do. We stayed home and spent the
time with the kids. Every year since then we have done
something different to create new family traditions. We
scaled
down the size of the holiday meals and some years chose to
cook something simple and easy so we had lots of time to
play games and enjoy our family and friends. It saved us
tons of money and as an added benefit we have time to visit
friends that we often times don't take the time
for.
One year as a gift all of us wrote done what we appreciated
about each one of the family members. After we had opened
our gifts we went around the circle and everyone had a
chance to share what they had written down. It was a
moving and emotional experience. I don't remember too
many of the gifts I have received over the years but I will
never forget the gift we gave to each other that year. It was
simple and easy, isn't that the way it's supposed to be?
So--why not slow down a little, take some time and get
connected to what's important to you and your family.
Exercise the power of your voice and say 'no' when you want
and need to say 'no', and say 'yes' when you want and need
to say 'yes'. Enough with trying to please everyone!! Bottom
line is-if you are busy pleasing everyone else you will never
really enjoy where you are at and what you are doing and
life will continue to repeat itself just like it always has from
the past. Want something different? Do something different
and you'll be amazed at how quickly things can
change.
This year for Thanksgiving we have decided to do a simple
Wednesday night dinner, play games and spend time with my
darling grandson. The girls are planning on spending the
night and we will have a yummy breakfast on Thanksgiving
morning. Both of the girls go to their Dad's house and have
a BIG dinner in the afternoon so we are going to do
something simple and easy so we have plenty of time to
spend together and enjoy each other's company and as a
bonus for the girls--they won't have to eat two huge dinners
like they usually do every year. This year our priority is
flexibility. For you it will be whatever sets you free and
makes it easy and wonderfully fun and fulfilling.
Take the time to have a holiday. Slow down and nurture
your self, take some time off and relax and maybe read a
book in front of the fireplace. As we are approaching the
Winter Solstice it's a time for going within, and, ideally to
some extent, hibernate over the winter months. Somehow I
doubt nature goes into overdrive over the winter, instead it
slows down, goes within, and stores energy for the coming
spring when everything bursts out bold and new. I have
always found nature to be a master teacher.
Like the
carol says 'Tis the Season to be Jolly, fla, la, la, la, la, la,
la, la, la.
Love and Light,
Mary
